Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi received on Wednesday the Egyptian ambassador to the Asian country, Tarek Dahroug, to discuss enhancing Egyptian-Pakistani relations in all fields.

The Pakistani minister voiced his appreciation for Egypt's prominent role on both the Islamic and international levels, expressing his country's desire to develop relations with Egypt, according to a statement released by the Egyptian foreign ministry.

The Egyptian diplomat reviewed Egypt’s vision on solving the region's issues, particularly in Libya, Syria, Palestine, and Eastern Mediterranean.

The meeting also covered the latest developments on a number of issues of common interest, the statement added.
