Egypt reported 138 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, bringing the total infection tally to 102,513 since the outbreak began in February, the health ministry announced.
The health ministry also reported 13 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 5,835.
The statement said that 801 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 92,644.
The government has repeatedly urged caution to avoid a second wave of the pandemic, particularly with the advent of autumn.
