Egypt reported 189 new coronavirus cases on Monday bringing the total infection tally to 107,925 since the outbreak began in February.
The health ministry also reported 13 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 6,291.
The statement said that 97 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 99,652
Earlier Monday , the Egyptian government criticised a lack of adherence by citizens to precautionary measures against the coronavirus, with officials warning that preventative measures could be reinstated.
Last WHO officials warned that Egypt may witness an increase in the cases of coronavoris just like the rest of the Arab countries in MENA region.
