Egyptian and French naval forces have carried out a maritime drill in the northern fleet region in the Mediterranean, which involved the participation of the Egyptian frigate Taba and the French frigate Languedoc.
According to a statement by the Egyptian military spokesman, the drill comes within the framework of the general command of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ plan to deepen the exchange of expertise with the armed forces of friendly countries.
The forces conducted a number of training activities, including sailing formations that are used in various combat missions.
The statement said that the drill is the second of its kind recently carried out with the French navy.
The French forces have broad expertise in the field, which is why such joint drills are significant for boosting bilateral military cooperation to actively contribute to maintaining the region's security and stability, according to the statement.
