Egypt reported 370 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total infection tally to 115,911 since the outbreak began in February.

The health ministry also reported 14 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 6,650.

The statement said that 122 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to102,718.

The infections and deaths rates have been on the rise since early November, with daily infection cases ranging from 200-300, in comparison to a lower rates hovering between a 100-200 mark during August, September and October.
