Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi inspected today a number of models of multi-use vehicles that have been equipped in the civil sector in cooperation with the armed forces, a statement by the Egyptian Presidency said on Wednesday.

The Official Spokesperson of the Egyptian Presidency Bassam Rady said in the statement that this came as part of the state’s strategy to develop the public transport system to serve the civil sector and citizens.

El-Sisi was briefed by Major General Kamal Radwan, Head of the Vehicles Department of the Armed Forces, on the ongoing development of the work system with the latest scientific methods for designing and producing armoured vehicles in the armed forces in cooperation with the ministry of military production and the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation, said Rady.

The president also inspected, the statement added, the latest of those armoured vehicles that were manufactured and equipped by the armed forces.

According to Rady, the manufacturing of the armoured vehicles is in accordance with the latest international systems and is within the framework of supporting the armed forces in counter-terrorism, in addition to enhancing the security checkouts of the civilian police forces.
