Polling stations in 13 Egyptian governorates closed their doors at 9pm on Tuesday, marking the end of the second day of voting in the run-off for the second stage of the country's parliament elections.

The National Elections Authority will announce the results of the run-offs on 14 December.

This last stage of run-offs is limited to candidates running under the individual system, who competed for the remaining 101 seats after securing 42 individual seats during the first round.

There are 202 candidates competing for 101 individual seats.

The 142 seats reserved for candidates running under the party list system were swept up by an electoral list led by the pro-government Mostaqbal Watan Party in the first round.
