Egyptian health ministry reported 445 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, bringing the total infection tally to 120,147 since the outbreak began in February.
Egypt has been recently witnessing a rebound in coronavirus daily cases.
For the first time in almost five months, starting 2 December, Egypt’s daily infections surpassed the 400-patient mark.
On Thursday, according to a statement, the health ministry also reported 22 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 6,854.
The statement said that 207 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 104,281
