Presidential Adviser for Health Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din
Presidential Adviser for Health Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din said on Monday that the Egyptian health sector's early readiness and expertise were crucial to managing the coronavirus crisis successfully.
Addressing the 19th edition of the Arab conference concerning new methods in managing hospitals, organised by the Arab Administrative Development Organisation, Tag El-Din pointed out that Egypt had applied some treatment protocols earlier than developed countries.
Tag El-Din noted that Egyptian health expertise, especially in respiratory diseases, was useful in facing the coronavirus pandemic, pointing out that Egypt has well-qualified cadres working at chest and fever hospitals.
The presidential adviser added that Egypt is ready for the second wave of the virus, saying all the needed medical equipment is available at hospitals.
