The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects Egypt to witness warm days and very cold days from Sunday 31 January to Tuesday 2 February.

Rainfall is expected on the northern parts of the country for Friday 29 January and Wednesday 3 February.

On Friday, light rainfall is expected at areas in Greater Cairo and Suez Canal cities in the northeastern part of the country.

Menoufiya and Sharqiya governorates expect moderate rainfall.

Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected at the areas in the northern cities of Salloum, Marsa Matrouh, Damietta, Port Said, Arish, Rafah, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Daqahliya and Gharbiya.

The EMA also expects higher tides at both the Mediterranean and the Red Sea, with a rise ranging from 2.5 to 3 meters, which may also disturb navigation.
