Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said has approved the allocation of EGP 300 million for the housing ministry to develop countermeasures against the heavy rainfall that frequently takes place in Alexandria governorate.

The allocation also paves the way for rolling out a project to upgrade the governorate’s sanitation system.

The minister also expounded that the allocation is accordance with directives by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to deal with the heavy rainfall in Alexandria and its negative impact on infrastructure and on the daily lives of citizens.
