The CEO of Dutch dredging company Boskalis, which participated in refloating the giant container ship Ever Given in the Suez Canal, said that he was "extremely proud" of the successful efforts to dislodge the vessel.

In statements to Dutch radio, the CEO of Boskalis Peter Berdowski said that it was "challenging operation."

The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) announced on Monday afternoon that it managed to fully refloat the Ever Given after it had been blocking the canal for six days, heavily disrupting international maritime trade.

The mega-ship is currently sailing north on its way to the Bitter Lakes in the canal.

Evergreen Line said on Monday that the Ever Given container ship will be inspected for seaworthiness.
