President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi gave directives to promote activities and programs of “Tahay Misr” Fund to support vulnerable families in collaboration with the state bodies concerned and civil society associations.
This falls within the framework of the presidential initiative “Decent Life” and its diverse programs in various domains.
The fund will intensify efforts to secure staple food commodities for needy people, especially on the advent of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
El-Sisi made the remarks during a meeting on Wednesday with his adviser for financial affairs Mohamed Amin.
Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said the meeting reviewed future plans of the fund’s activities to support vulnerable people.
He highlighted the key role played by the fund to bolster state bodies in implementing social protection programs and development projects.
