A military plane took off from an airbase in east Cairo to Tunisia on Thursday loaded with large quantities of medicines and medical equipment provided by the Ministry of Health, the Egyptian Armed Forces said.

The decision to send medical aid to Tunisia came following the directives of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on the basis of the historical relationship between Egypt and Tunisia.
