Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek El-Molla said on Wednesday that the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA) signed a 5.2-million-dollar contract with the British company Nubian Mines on exploring for gold in the Eastern Desert.
This falls within the framework of proceeding with inking contracts with 11 companies that were awarded 82 gold exploration blocks in a government tender at total investments of $60 million, El-Molla said in a statement on Wednesday.
