The president will also take part in a two-day summit, slated for Monday and Tuesday, on financing African economies.

Sudan seeks assistance in paying off a $60 billion foreign debt bill to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). It also eyes securing investment deals to revive its clobbered economy after decades under former President Omar Al-Bashir.

France's Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Monday that his country will lend Sudan $1.5 billion to help the African nation pay off its massive debt to the IMF.
