Presidential candidate Amr Moussa has arrived Monday afternoon in the village of Meet Nagui in the governorate of Daqahliya as he embarks on a two-day campaign tour in the Delta governorate.

Moussa plans to visit and hold public rallies in most of Daqahliya's districts during his tour, his campaign announced on Monday.

Moussa's Daqahliya tour comes one week after a three-day tour in Upper Egypt where Moussa visited the cities of Luxor, Assiut, Qena and Sohag.

Moussa was the first presidential candidate to complete the candidacy-application process after collecting over 30,000 citizens' signatures from across 15 governorates in support of his bid.

Egypt's first post-Mubarak presidential polls are slated for 23 and 24 May, with a runoff vote on 16 and 17 June, if necessary. The new president will be named on 21 June.
