A funeral was held on Friday, in Cairo, for Egyptian business tycoon Ahmed Bahgat, who passed away last week at the age of 70.
His body was brought home from the United States earlier today.
Numerous people, including former officials, public figures and businessmen attended the funeral prayers at the Al-Mosheer Tantawy mosque in the Fifth Settlement district.
According to media reports, Chief of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) Abdel-Moneim El-Tarras, Actor Rashwan Tawfik, renowned Businessman and MP Mohamed Aboul-Enein alongside other figures attended the funeral.
Bahgat was the founder of Dream, Egypt's first satellite channel.
He passed away last Friday in the US, where he was being treated, after a long suffering from illness.
Bahgat graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University and completed his studies in the United States.
He had many contributions in the business field, including Dream Park, a major theme park and Dream Land residential community, both in 6th of October City near Cairo.
