Head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service (GIS) Abbas Kamel on Monday inspected the suggested sites in Gaza Strip for the reconstruction process.
This comes as per an Egyptian presidential initiative to allocate $500 million for the reconstruction of Gaza.
Kamel, accompanied by a high-level delegation and a number of ministers from the Palestinian Authority, has arrived in Gaza on Monday morning to hold talks with Palestinian factions and leaders.
The presidential initiative for the reconstruction of Gaza came a few days after an Egypt-brokered ceasefire came into effect in the strip on 21 May, halting 11 days of Israeli airstrikes.
The Israeli aggression on the enclave destroyed hundreds of homes and displaced tens of thousands of Palestinians.
