Chairman of Egypt's Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Abdel-Moneim El-Tarras expressed his gratitude on Wednesday for a visit by an African broadcasters delegation to the AOI, which he described as an opportunity to highlight the capabilities of Egyptian industry.
El-Tarras said in a statement that the delegation's visit is in line with President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi's directives to enhance cooperation and integration with African brothers.
The visit by the delegation of French-speaking African broadcasters was organised by the Ministry of State for Information in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
El-Tarras said that such visits are conducted annually with the aim of informing students and trainees from all African countries about the AOI’s activities and efforts to increase domestic industry and the localisation of modern technology.
El-Tarras noted that such visits "open new channels of communication, enhance areas of cooperation and exchange experiences" within the framework of supporting integration and partnership between Egypt and its African brothers.
The Advanced Training Course No. 10, under which the visit was organised, aims to prepare a new generation of African leaders to be the most influential on the continent, with the necessary training and skills, with a vision consistent with Egypt's approach to achieving African integration and unity, El-Tarras said.
During his meeting with the trainees, El-Tarras indicated that AOI "represents the industrial back of the Egyptian state in localising technology, manufacturing and development" in accordance with the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The African delegation expressed their admiration for the AOI's manufacturing capabilities and its use of scientific methods to achieve the highest rates of local manufacturing and to localise technology by utilising international expertise, the statement said.
The delegation also hailed President El-Sisi's efforts to build bridges of communication and cooperation with other African countries and to strengthen trade exchange.
