Egypt denounces terrorist attack on Sabha checkpoint in Libya

Two Libyan officers were killed and four others injured in a terrorist attack against a security checkpoint in the southern Libyan city of Sabha

Egypt denounced on Monday in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that targeted a checkpoint in the city of Sabha in Libya southern on Sunday that resulted in the killing of two Libyan officers and the injury of four others, the Egyptian foreign ministry said in a statement. 

“Egypt presents its sincere condolences to the Libyan people and government, as well as the families of the victims in this horrifying incident, wishing a speedy recovery for all the injured,” the statement of the foreign ministry said. 

The Egyptian foreign ministry stated that Egypt is reasserting its support for Libya against all who target its security and stability, standing with the neighbouring country against all forms of violence, radicalism, and terrorism.
