Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, and Oman started on Monday a joint military drill dubbed ‘Tuwaiq-2’ at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, the Egyptian military spokesman said.
The drill, which is set to last for several days, witnesses the participation of air forces and paratrooper elements from the five Arab countries.
It aims to exchange expertise, promote military cooperation, and boost joint Arab action in the face of ongoing challenges in the Middle East, the military spokesman added.
