Al-Azhar grand imam condoles with Pakistan over train collision victims

One passenger train derailed on Monday in Pakistan’s Sindh province, fell across the track, and was then hit within minutes by another passenger train

Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed El-Tayyeb on Monday condoled with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Pakistani people over the death of dozens of people in a train collision in southern the country.

A statement issued by Al-Azhar said that the Grand Imam offers his condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded.

One passenger train derailed on Monday in Pakistan’s Sindh province, fell across the track, and was then hit within minutes by another passenger train.

The death toll due to the tragic incident has reached 63 and more than 100 people were injured, reports cited officials as saying.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Monday expressed solidarity and support to Pakistan after the incident.
