Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat asserted that digitisation became common in the development of all the sectors of the state, adding that there will be no real development at any sector without digitisation, information technology, and communication technology.
In an interview with Extranews channel on Wednesday evening, Talaat said that Egypt used to export digital services that are worth $1.5 billion four years ago, and now its digital services exports have tripled, reaching $4.1 billion, including digital services and electronic designing services and programmes.
Egypt exports digital services to 100 countries, he said.
Talaat asserted that Egypt’s digital platform presents more than 60 digital services currently.
The ministry is helping all the sectors of the state to digitise their performance, he said, adding that the Egyptian government and citizens have become aware of the importance of digitisation in building Egypt.
