Egyptian and French air forces conducted on Thursday a joint exercise using several multi-mission combat aircraft, a statement by the Egyptian Armed Forces' spokesman read.

The exercise was conducted at an Egyptian airbase and included offensive and defensive drills and combat exercises using the latest jet fighters, continued the statement.

The two sides exchanged training and technical planning knowledge, executive and leadership skills, as well as control strategies.

The exercise is part of the increasing partnership and military cooperation between the Egyptian and French armed forces, the statement added.

Egyptian army forces have recently conducted various drills with their French counterparts, including naval exercises.
