Egypt's FM discusses bilateral relations with German counterpart

Shoukry and Maas discussed a number of bilateral issues, especially in the economic, health and energy sectors

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed on Wednesday with his German counterpart Minister Heiko Maas the latest developments in the Egyptian-German bilateral relations, the Egyptian foreign ministry said.

According to the Egyptian foreign ministry, Shoukry and Maas discussed a number of bilateral issues, especially in the economic, health and energy sectors.

The top diplomats discussed the latest developments in the region and ways to reach resolutions to crises in the Middle East, at the top of which are the developments in Libya, the Palestinian territories and the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

Shoukry is currently in Germany where he attended the Berlin II conference on Libya.
