Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Malaysian counterpart Hishammuddin Hussein
Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed on Wednesday boosting bilateral relations between Malaysia and Egypt in all fields in a telephone call he received from his Malaysian counterpart Hishammuddin Hussein, the Egyptian foreign ministry said.
According to the ministry, the two officials tackled preparations for the first meeting of the joint committee between the two countries, which is set to be held at a ministerial level in the Malaysian capital.
The two top diplomats also tackled preparations for the first political consultation meeting to be held at the level of the two countries' senior foreign ministry officials.
The two diplomats reiterated their keenness to push forward bilateral cooperation and maintaining coordination on regional and international issues of common interest, the spokesman said.
