An earthquake measuring 3.52 magnitude on the Richter scale has been recorded north of the Red Sea, 26 kilometres south of the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, Tuesday afternoon, Egypt's National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) said in a statement.
The quake was recorded at 4:39 PM Cairo Local Time.
The NRIAG also announced that it recorded another earth quake, measuring 3.5 magnitude on the Richter scale, at 10:24 AM in the Gulf of Suez , 21 kilometres east of the city of Ras Ghareb in the Red Sea governorate.
No casualties have been reported from either quake.
