The Egyptian-UAE military drills "Zayed 3” wrapped up in the UAE on Saturday, the Egyptian Armed Forces announced.

During the exercise which kicked off earlier this month, the Egyptian and Emirati forces carried out a number of training operations meant to enhance the ability to operate joint air missions and exchange expertise.

The training included joint flights by multi-tasking fighters as well as several missions to attack enemy targets and defend vital locations.

According to the Egyptian army spokesperson, the training demonstrated the high level of professionalism of the participating forces.

“The joint military exercise comes in light of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ keenness to foster military cooperation and exchange expertise with the UAE to overcome the security and stability challenges in the region," the spokesman added.
