Egyptian policemen cleared of killing Tahrir Square protesters

Cairo's Criminal Court on Thursday finds 14 police officers innocent of killing two protestors - and injuring several others - at height of last year's uprising

Seven police officers and seven low-ranking policemen from Cairo's Al-Marg and Shubra police stations on Thursday were found not guilty by Cairo's Criminal Court of killing two unarmed protestors and wounding several others during last year's Tahrir Square uprising.

The men had been charged with killing two protesters and attempting to kill others with the use of live ammunition.
