Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said his country is keen to foster cooperation with Egypt, particularly at the investment level, in a phone call with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Sunday evening.
Sánchez expressed Spain’s urge to “enhance the success of Spanish projects in several sectors in Egypt, such as transport, renewable energy, and other developmental domains.”
The phone call dealt with a number of regional and international issues of common interest along with increasing cooperation between the two countries, according to a statement released by Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.
President El-Sisi heaped praise on Egypt’s friendship with Spain, asserting Cairo’s keenness on achieving a quantum leap in the levels of cooperation in various domains.
El-Sisi also pointed out that the two countries have “huge” potentials to achieve a comprehensive development partnership, Rady added.
