Egypt condoles Oman over cyclone 'Shaheen' victims

Egypt expressed on Monday its utmost condolences to Oman over the victims of the tropical cyclone ‘Shaheen’, which hit the country a day ago and left many dead and wounded in its wake.

The cyclone caused serious material damage nationwide, according to a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.

The ministry added that Egypt is reiterating its full solidarity and support for the Omani government and people in these critical circumstances.

The statement assured that Oman is capable of riding out the current predicament under the wise leadership of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
