The meeting between El-Sisi and Tamim, which took place on the sidelines of the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, is the second following the signing of the Al-Ula agreement for Arab reconciliation, which ended an over three-year rift between Qatar on the one hand and Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain on the other.
The previous meeting between President El-Sisi and Sheikh Tamim was in Baghdad in August on the sidelines of the Baghdad Conference on Cooperation and Partnership.
While attending the COP26 summit, President El-Sisi also met with a number of leaders including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Armenian President Armen Sarkissian.
The Egyptian president also met with the prime ministers of the Netherlands, Palestine, Lebanon and Libya.
