General Adel Refaat, the chief of the Suez Security Directorate, has confirmed that businessman Ibrahim Farag - known in Suez as "the killer of protesters" - and his son Adel, who are charged with killing protesters and injuring dozens in Suez during the 18 day of the Egyptian uprising, were released on Monday after posting bail.
However, they have not returned to Suez since leaving Tora prison.
Farag's second son Araby, who is part of the same case, will remain in prison until the court case is heard.
