Mohamed ElBaradei, Egyptian reform campaigner and founder of newly-established Constitution Party, suggested Thursday via Twitter the immediate formation of a mediation committee to find political and legal solutions to Egypt's current crisis.

ElBaradei on Twitter warned that "Egypt is about to explode." He added that "the players of political game ... prioritise the nation's benefit over their personal advantage."

The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) added an addendum to the interim Constitutional Declaration Sunday evening without calling a referendum. Legislative powers remain with SCAF until the election of a new parliament slated to take place in December.

Egypt's second round presidential elections run-off took place 16-17 June.

The Supreme Presidential Elections Commission (SPEC) delayed the announcement of the results to Saturday or Sunday as the commission is investigating appeals by presidential finalists Mohamed Morsi, Muslim Brotherhood's candidate, and Ahmed Shafiq, Mubarak's last prime minister.
