According to a statement released by the Egyptian Presidency Spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy, Al-Alimi briefed President El-Sisi on ongoing efforts to reach a political resolution for the conflict in his country.

Al-Alimi praised Egypt's steadfast support for the Yemeni people and its efforts to restore stability and security in his country.

Meanwhile, President El-Sisi reaffirmed to Al-Alimi Egypt's support for all efforts to reach a comprehensive and sustainable political solution that preserves Yemen's unity and sovereignty, added Fahmy.
