President of Turkey Abdallah Gul will visit Egypt in December, in response to an invitation from President Mohamed Morsi.
According to a statement released by the Turkish embassy in Cairo, Gul accepted the invitation when he met with Morsi in Mecca last week at the summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
Gul's last visit to Egypt was in March 2011. There is an ongoing debate amongst commentators regarding whether the Turkish system is a suitable model for Egypt as ot forges its post-Mubarak future.
