The Egyptian consulate in Tripoli, Libya was attacked on Thursday by Libyan protesters demanding entrance visas to Egypt.
"Disgruntled Libyans destroyed some furniture in the embassy's waiting room and attacked some embassy personnel for not granting them Egypt visas," a consulate official told Egyptian state news agency MENA.
The official went on to urge Libyan authorities to help secure the consulate building, which is currently secured only by Egyptian personnel.
