Egyptian state television has aired footage of Pope Shenouda III, Patriarch of the Coptic Church, announcing his support for President Hosni Mubarak and asking the protesters to end their protests. Shenouda, appointed to his role by Mubarak, cited the results of the protests as being dialogue with opposition groups, committee of Wise Leaders and the Muslim Brotherhoods.
Moreover, he showed his concern regarding the losses that took place in Egypt from ongoing protests. He calls for life to go back to normal in Egypt.
