El-Sisi, whose second presidential term ends on Tuesday 2 April, was re-elected for a new term in December 2023, receiving over 39.7 million votes, representing 89.6 percent of eligible votes cast.

The president is scheduled to commence his official duties from the Presidential Palace in the new capital after taking the constitutional oath and completing his inauguration ceremony for a third term, which commences on 3 April.

The sky harmonized with attendees waving Egyptian flags at the People's Square in the New Administrative Capital to the tunes of patriotic songs played by military bands.

The People's Square is located to the right of the executive branch headquarters (the Governmental District) and the left of the legislative branch (the House of Representatives and the Senate), with the Presidential Palace also nearby.

The square features the world’s tallest flagpole in its centre, reaching a height of 201.9m, according to the Guinness World Records.

The memorial monument is located at the square corner opposite the Presidential Palace.

It is designed with a Pharaonic style in terms of columns and decorations.

The monument also comprises two arches, one eastern and one western.

Each arch consists of 42 circular columns - 21 front and 21 rear - designed as a lotus flower and bearing the 99 names of God Almighty.

It also comprises 34 square columns -17 front and 17 rear -inscribed with the names of Egyptian martyrs.

Additionally, he vowed to deepen national dialogue and implement its recommendations to foster political and democratic participation, especially among the youth.

El-Sisi emphasized his commitment to adopting strategies that maximize Egypt's economic resources and capabilities.

Moreover, he stated that the state would embark on comprehensive institutional reforms to ensure financial discipline and achieve effective governance.
