Hossam Badrawi, the physician who became the secretary general of the National Democratic Party (NDP) last week after Safwat El Sherif and Gamal Mubarak stepped down, announced today that he will resign from his post.

Badrawi also said he will cut his relations with the NDP and cease to be a member of the party. Badrawi made the announcement to the Al-Haya channel.
