Egypt's foreign ministry has added new a phone line to better assist Egyptians living abroad.
"The state's apparatus is committed to Egyptians living abroad; that is why we added those numbers," Mohy Eddin El-Ahsry, ambassador and deputy secretary general for consular affairs, immigration and Egyptians living abroad, told Ahram's Arabic news website.
The new numbers are +2 02 25772500 and +2 02 25777101, and the fax number is +2 02 25761000.
Approximately 6.5 million Egyptians live abroad. Many expatriates have complained before the January 25 revolution that they are ignored and marginalised by the Egyptian government.
