No damage reported after 5.3-magnitude quake shakes Egypt's second city early Friday morning

A 5.3 magnitude earthquake shook Egypt's second city of Alexandria and the nearby Nile Delta early on Friday morning, say experts.

The 5.35am quake caused no damage, according to a spokesman from the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG).
Egypt saw its last significant earthquake in July, hit by 6.4-magnitude tremors which originated in southern Turkey.
