Hundreds of lawyers are demonstrating at the Lawyers' Syndicate, calling it a day "to purify the syndicate" regarding its behavior during the revolution

Hundreds of lawyers are demonstrating Thursday afternoon at the gate of the Lawyers' Syndicate, requesting that the current board led by Hamdy Khalifa step down.

Protestors held a large banner stating "February 17th is to be the day to purify the syndicate and remove all symbols of the old regime and the board headed by Hamdy Khalifa, for their shameful behavior in the 25 January revolution, and long live Egypt with its revolutionary youth … it's revolution until victory."  They said that honest members should resign immediately from the board.

The lawyers repeated such slogans as "Khalifa, this is a warning, do not inflame matters", "This is an independent syndicate, so go out" and "We're not leaving! You leave!"
