Thousands of workers strike at El-Tebin coke fertilizing company

Around 3,000 workers went on strike in the coke fertlizing company in El-Tebin located in Helwan demanding accountability for those responsible for the deterioration of the company and an improvement of their financial conditions, as well as instituting temporary employment and issuing them overdue incentives and profits.

A labor union source declared that the workers demand investigations into financial and administrative offences revealed by the Central Auditing Agency, which criticized the transfer of company profits to the holding company with no regard to the improvement working conditions.

According to the source, the workers underscored their demands to indict all corrupt figures in the company, in addition to their technical demands concerning the development of the company.

Moreover, the workers demand amendments to their payrolls, starting from March, increased incentives and benefits for employees’ children.
