Egypt's Morsi to hold urgent meeting with PM in wake of rail disaster

Egyptian president to meet with his PM Qandil and transport minister after he visited those injured in Monday night railway accident at Maadi military hospital in Cairo

Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi is scheduled to hold an urgent meeting on Tuesday afternoon with Prime Minister Hisham Qandil and Transportation Minister Hatem Abdel-Latif.

The president called for the meeting to the discuss fallout from Monday night's Badrashin rail disaster and address means of preventing similar accidents in the future.

At least 19 Egyptians were killed and 120 injured minutes before midnight on Monday night when a train carriage derailed while en route to Cairo from Upper Egypt.
