Interior minister releases 46 political prisoners

MENA, Sunday 27 Feb 2011

Minister of Interior Mahmoud Wagdy has issued an ordered to release 50 political and criminal prisoners.

About 43 of the released prisoners come from Sinai.

A security source told MENA that the group has 46 political prisoners and four criminal prisoners.

Last Thursday, Wagdy ordered the release of 189 prisoners, 36 of whom were Sinai Bedouins.
