Military fire fighters have contained the fire which erupted today in Mugamma Al-Tahrir, headquarters of the central administrative offices of the government, overlooking Cairo's Tahrir Square.

The fire broke out on the eighth floor of the building, which houses the offices of the administrative prosecution of the eduaction ministry, giving rise to speculation of arson.
