Security forces secure Kafr El-Sheikh's governor at protest

Saad El-Husseini encountered dozens of protesters angry about a deterioration in public services

Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh Saad El-Husseini was beset by dozens of protesters at the Islamic Studies University in the town of Dessouk on Wednesday, and had to be escorted out of the university’s back entrance by security forces.

According to Ahram’s Arabic website, the protest was against the deterioration of Dessouk’s public facilities.  

The university was closed in response to the demonstration, and Central Security Forces were called in to protect the governor on his way out.

After leaving the university, the governor inspected a number of areas in Dessouk city and rebuked city officials on account of the poor public facilities and services.
