South Giza prosecutor officer detained 67 state security officers in the 6^th of October governorate on charges of burning state documents and public property.

The state security building was set on fire on Saturday after a similar occurrence in Alexandria, Egypt. Protesters and residents claim that state security officers and personnel shredded documents and set fire to the buildings themselves and accuse them of burning evidence of wrong-doing.

The officers will be detained for four days pending investigations.
